About Allerjam

What is Allerjam?

Allerjam is an afternoon event for kids with allergies to come dance and party with the friends and family that keep them safe every day of the year.

THE FIRST EVER ALLERJAM WILL BE HELD ON May 5, 2024 - NEW AGE EXPERIENCE CENTRE, 1190 CALEDONIA ROAD

What is Allerjam’s Goal?

Allerjam's goal is to celebrate our Allergy Warriors and their villages all while raising awareness and funds for the incredible allergy research and treatments being done by the SickKids Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Program.

Who are our Allergy Warriors?

Allergy Warriors are the brave, happy, strong children who don't let everyday food uncertainty and restrictions stand in the way of their vivacious and happy childhoods!

How does it work?

If you have ONE child with food allergies, please register them as an Allergy Warrior Individual. And if you have MORE than one child with food allergies, you are able to register your family as an Allergy Warrior Team so your children can fundraise together.

As a thank you to the friends and family that support you on your fundraising page, we welcome you to invite donors to Allerjam as your guests! When it comes to allergies, it is ALL about our villages - the people who check labels and take all the caution necessary to keep our kids safe every day of the year.  By inviting sponsors to join you as your guest, it gives Allergy Warriors a chance to say a big, hearty thank you to their villages. Note: The only thing your guests need to do is register to attend. If you are a guest, please register at www.allerjam.com.

Sign up and get ready for Allerjam 2024!

Let's get together to dance, party and celebrate our brave Allergy Warriors and their villages, all while contributing to allergy research and treatment developments at SickKids!

Your Impact

Since the launch of SickKids Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Program in 2013, we’ve taken a two-pronged approach to fighting food allergy. The first is basic science, a means to better understanding the biology of food allergy. (In one study, our scientists use allergenized gut slices to better understand the mechanics of food allergy, as well as test potential treatments—without putting a child at risk.) The second is clinical trials, where we test treatments like oral immunotherapy, including variations that make it easier—and safer—to implement.

SickKids has already made major strides in the fight against food allergy, and we’re poised to go much, much further. But to do that, we need your help. Your support will enable more ground-breaking research into food allergy. And more research means more treatments—and fewer kids living in fear.

Thank you for joining our fight for the future of child health.
