A Night for SickKids Gala hosted by On The Floor is proud to be celebrating its 9th year in 2022 and, this year, we're making plans to welcome you to a live and in-person event at the Richmond Hill Performing Arts Theatre! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was impossible for us to run live events for the past two years, but our incredible team didn't let that stop us from raising money for our favourite charity in a virtual capacity - as we hosted special online versions of A Night for SickKids Gala. While we're incredibly thankful for everyone who supported us during these virtual events, we have to admit that we're incredibly excited about the potential for a live event this year.
The 9th annual A Night for SickKids Gala is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 18th, 2022, and we hope you will be there to join us!
Prior to COVID-19, select Ultimate Dancers from each On The Floor competition were given the opportunity to perform in the Gala each year, joining a star-studded cast of professional dancers performing pieces choreographed by some of the biggest names in the business. These performances provided an incredible platform to showcase our amazing faculty, local professional dancers from across the GTA, and our top ranking finalists. It's a unique opportunity for competitive winners to rub shoulders with a wealth of professional talent and really get to see firsthand how the pros prepare and perform.
Since its first instalment, A Night for SickKids Gala has seen unbelievable turnouts, raising more than $364,500.00 for the ChildLife Department at SickKids - a cause we truly believe in, and are proud to support. It is impossible to overstate how grateful we are for those who continue to support this amazing night!
