Atticus was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in February of 2019 . The first year was filled with many trips to Emerge, SickKids and to Southlake Hospital. There are many stressful days and sleepless nights, a rollercoaster of emotions filled with hope, defeat, worry, and at times relief.
Atti has seen more medication and treatments during his first year, than many would in a lifetime. And he will continue receiving treatments, blood work, lumbar punctures and many other meds for some time to come.
The Atticus Annual Golf Tournament is one way for us to bring awareness and to give back where we can.
It is your heartfelt donations that make this tournament possible.
It is our goal to make this event last for years to come so that soon, treatments are better, technology is improved and more research is done to help all the kids diagnosed.
Knowing everything that Atti has gone through, and all of the medical attention he has received has us feeling many things. But one thing is certain, we are feeling GRATEFUL. Beyond grateful to every single medical staff, volunteer, friend, family and even stranger for all of the attention, thoughts and prayers sent their way during one of the most difficult situations anyone could ever go through in life.
We can’t stress enough the importance of donating to hospitals such as @sickkidstoronto and small clinics such as the @southlakehospital POGO clinic, who have helped Atti tremendously. Nothing could ever repay the care they have provided to him, and to thousands of others.
Donate today to help SickKids in the fight against childhood cancer.
