Two months shy of her 3rd birthday, Brielle was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of brain cancer - Medulloblastoma (Group 3, with MYC). After an 8-hour surgery to remove the tumour, so began the difficult journey to recovery and through treatment. Brielle withstood 3 rounds of chemotherapy, 6 weeks of radiation, countless blood transfusions, lumbar punctures and infections, along with a daily pharmacy of medications and natural supplements. After 9 difficult and courageous months, Brielle gained her Angel wings.
Although she lived a short life, her time on Earth was so incredibly impactful to so many people. Her energy and spirit was felt by everyone she crossed paths with. You knew you were in the presence of an old soul. Brielle enjoyed going for walks, getting ice cream cones, and playing in the park. She also loved Baby Shark, Booba, and Coco Melon ("Coco Wally", as she would affectionately pronounce). Brielle had her own little language and loved to babble - even with her "sussie" constantly in her mouth. She was inseparable from her suckie.
Brielle had such a feisty personality that was so lovable. She was affectionate, cuddly, and such a happy child. An eternal old soul with so much to teach us about life and unconditional love. Her memory continues to inspire us every day as she has left us with so much love, awareness, and compassion. We are forever grateful that Brielle chose us to be a part of her special and brave journey in this lifetime. Until we hold you again in our arms, you are forever in our hearts.

Donations made on this page will support The Arthur and Sonia Labatt Brain Tumour Research Centre (BTRC), where top scientists and clinicians from The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and the University Health Network (UHN) collaborate on human brain tumour studies.
The BTRC aims to cure children and adults with brain tumours, while progressing towards more predictable clinical control of the condition. By determining how brain tumours form on a molecular level, our team is in a unique position to develop new scientific and clinical therapies.
