Ed's jump was successfully completed on July 13th! Thank you to all of the generous donors who have helped Ed surpass his goal of raising $100,000!!
My dream and hope, if I would be fortunate enough to live 100 years, has always been to feel the exhilaration of a parachute jump once again. When I trained as a paratrooper in 1945 readying for deployment in WW2, our jumps were of necessity low (200 meters) to avoid detection. But I’ve never had a true free fall, a jump from altitude and a long descent, just to enjoy the ride.
But, if I am to achieve this thrill of a lifetime, I want it to benefit society. The older I’ve become, the more connected I feel with the children of our world. And so, I would like my jump to benefit children who need all the support they can get, at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario.
Thanks to The Canadian Airborne Regiment, and army veteran paratrooper Adam Winnicki as we prepare for the big day. My goal, ambitious as it is, is to raise $1,000 for each year I have lived. Please help me celebrate my 100th year by helping the kids. 'The 100 Year Jump' will be captured on video so that you can experience the thrill with me. Thank you for supporting the next generation and making my dream a reality!
