About In Honour of Jack Thomson

At 6 months old, Jack Louie was diagnosed with a rare life-threatening genetic condition known as Primary HLH (Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis). The only cure was a bone marrow transplant. At only 6 months old, Jack fought a tough fight. He went through numerous chemotherapy treatments, lumbar punctures, transfusions and took a pharmacy of medications daily. He was brave, sweet and so incredibly strong. Jack made us so proud with his determination to fight a brave battle, but in the end his sweet little heart needed to rest. On February 18, 2019, Jack went to be at peace, free from all pain and suffering. We miss him deeply.
In his short life, Baby Jack-Jack touched the hearts of many. He taught us patience, strength, kindness and unconditional love and brought an infinite amount of joy to our lives.
Our compassionate and exceptional team of doctors and nurses at Sick Kids did everything thing they could to help our son, but more research needs to be done. Rare diseases don't get the attention they deserve which is why your help in spreading awareness and contributing to this fund is greatly appreciated. All  donations to this page will go towards funding histiocytosis research initiatives at SickKids.
Thank you,
The Thomson Family
