In Honour of Kalina

A few weeks after our Princess Kalina's first birthday on March 17 2020, she woke up with difficulty walking, and other strange symptoms which prompted her mother to take her to the best hospital for children, SickKids.

After many MRI, ultrasounds, CT scans, blood work, and MIBG; Kalina was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and opsyclonus myoclonus syndrome. During this scary time of Kalina's diagnosis and treatment we felt a sense of comfort knowing she was in the best care with her team of doctors, and being at SickKids. Kalina spent almost 1 month of living at SickKids with treatments of IVIG, retuxmab, Plasmapheresis, and surgery to remove the neuroblastoma. Kalina is still followed by her neurology team, oncology team, and ENT surgeon.

We are forever grateful for the care and compassion provided by the hospital and the comfort knowing her teams are just a phone call away. All donations made on this page will go towards the highest priority needs at SickKids. Tax receipts will be issued automatically via e-mail.
