The Michael D'Urso Fund

​Fighting to preserve the magic of childhood, by staying Forever Hopeful, Forever Strong. ​

In hopes of never ending smiles, The Michael D'Urso Fund was created to try and help alleviate suffering, and promote happiness and hope, for families and children living with a serious illness.

SickKids families face more stress now, more than ever, with the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. Kids are confined to their rooms, and many programs and support activities that are vital to help them stay kids are suspended. Child Life Specialists and Creative Arts Therapists need resources to deliver distraction, stimulation, and play. The Patient Experience Fund, supported by The Michael D'Urso Fund does just this. 

By supporting this fund, you will be supporting children in maintaining the magic of childhood, especially now by making a donation during the holiday season. I have and will continue to do all that I can to spread smiles during the holiday season- a time when families need that ray of hope the most. I always want to keep the giving going, to keep hope alive for all children and families. 

I would describe we do, funding the fight for patients and families during the holidays season,  with my favorite quote from Dr. Seuss- said by the most unlikely of heroes, the Grinch:

"Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store, maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more"
