Holiday toy donations at SickKids

Our staff are working hard to ensure we share the magic of the holiday season with our patients and families in hospital. Due to infection prevention and control policies, and for everyone’s safety, we will only accept donated items that have been approved by the Donations Coordinator (donations.coordinator@sickkids.ca) in advance. Our guidelines have been developed in consideration of our infection control, safety, and privacy policies. We are not able to accept items that fall outside of these guidelines.

All donations must be brand new, in their original packaging and recently purchased. Please contact the Donations Coordinator for an up-to-date list of our Holiday Wish Lists!

Deadline for holiday toy donations is on or before Thursday December 12, 2024.

All donations being dropped off or delivered to the hospital must be approved and coordinated by the Donations Coordinator in advance. Donations cannot be dropped off inside or outside the hospital unless a drop-off has been scheduled. Our guidelines have been developed in consideration of our infection control, safety and privacy policies. We are not able to accept items that fall outside of these guidelines. 

Items that are dropped off and do not meet our donation guidelines and acceptance criteria will be shared with our community partner agencies, such as Salvation Army and Toronto Firefighters.

Register to Fundraise or Donate to the Toy and Game Fund

The SickKids Foundation Toy and Game Fund enables our Child Life Team to purchase toys that help healing during the holidays and throughout the year. These toys and games are used primarily for the purpose of recreation and therapeutic play and include art and craft supplies, toys, games, play equipment and diversional activities to be used by Child Life staff in patient care programs and our playrooms.
