LIV IT UP Home Decor

Alivia and Domenic were born one minute apart on July 8, 2011. Alivia had a severe heart condition called Pulminary Artresia and intact ventrical septum. There was a plan in place for her birth to prepare her, and take her straight to the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) where she would be cared for and prepped for her surgery.

Days later, Alivia underwent a 10 hour open heart surgery and it went well. Unfortunately the doctors had advised us that there may be complications, and unfortunately there were. They needed to operate on her again and we knew she could not possibly survive two major surgeries within days.

We were all devastated when Alivia passed away on July 26 at 11:15 in front of our eyes.

We have Domenic because of her, we are forever grateful and this is where we wanted and needed to give back.

We started LIV It Up Home Decor in her honour and memory. I make simple items and host Vendor Shows to raise money for a tribute fund we set up called the Alivia Nina Pileggi Cardiac Critical Care Unit, where she passed away.

Every dollar helps and this is something that made us at peace.

We want to help other sick babies with heart conditions have a chance. With your help, this is possible and know that you too are helping other families during their difficult stays at the hospital.
